Our client, a prominent global law firm, is seeking an experienced AML Analyst for a 3- month full-time contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client identification and verification, gathering necessary information and documentation from company registers and compliance databases.

  • Analyse complex ownership structures, M&A transactions, and investment activities to assess potential risks.

  • Prepare client and matter risk assessments, escalating high-risk cases to the AML Manager when necessary.

  • Perform sanctions screenings and ongoing monitoring of high-risk clients and matters, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Collaborate with the AML Manager to maintain the accuracy and relevancy of information across all compliance processes.

This role would suit someone educated to degree level with 1-2 years of AML experience in a global law firm, preferably with exposure to a U.S. law firm setting, though this is not essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (amended 2022), the LSAG Anti-Money Laundering Guidance for the Legal Sector 2023, and SRA requirements. Excellent attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
