An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Knowledge Development Lawyer (KDL) to join the Construction team at a top-tier law firm in London. As the Knowledge Development Lawyer for the non-contentious Construction group, you will be responsible for enhancing the legal expertise within the team, developing knowledge resources, and delivering high-quality training. You will collaborate with other Knowledge Development Lawyers across the firm and support fee earners with legal know-how, best practice, and commercial awareness. Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, you will also contribute to business development initiatives and knowledge-sharing firmwide.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor legal developments, trends, and best practices, producing engaging knowledge materials and maintaining an organised Knowledge Hub.
  • Provide technical support to fee earners, addressing queries and sharing know-how.
  • Design and deliver tailored legal training programmes for varying qualification levels.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to create client-facing knowledge content and enhance the team's external profile.
  • Maintain the precedent bank, liaising with business support and library services for updates and automation.

 

This role would suit an experienced lawyer (at least 6 years PQE) with a strong background in non-contentious construction work. You should have excellent legal knowledge, a commercial mindset, and a proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality training and knowledge resources. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects efficiently.
