Key Responsibilities

 

  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including supplier agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements. Provide strategic advice during negotiations to minimise risks and ensure favourable terms.

  • Procurement Support: Advise on the legal aspects of procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with stakeholders to optimise workflows.

  • Legal Advisory: Offer guidance on commercial contract issues, data protection compliance, and stay updated on relevant regulatory changes.

  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing disputes arising from contracts or procurement activities.

  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on contract management and procurement, and mentor junior legal team members.

 

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer, with at least 5 years' PQE experience in risk management or as an in-house lawyer. They should have a strong background in commercial law, particularly in procurement and contract management, and a solid understanding of data protection legislation. Experience in regulatory compliance, including SRA Standards and Regulations, is also desirable.
