Role Overview

 

The senior risk analyst plays a critical role in supporting attorneys with compliance duties, managing new business intake, and identifying potential risks. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the firm's compliance standards are maintained, client confidentiality is protected, and potential conflicts are resolved efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Act as a subject matter expert on ethical walls, using Intapp's WallBuilder to establish, maintain, and audit walls, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.

  • Review conflict analysis, retention letters, and waivers; draft and circulate screening memos while collaborating with the Office of the General Counsel and Risk Management to refine screening policies.

  • Respond to inquiries promptly, resolve access issues alongside attorneys and IT, and handle time-sensitive matters related to ethical walls.

  • Drive process improvements to reduce risk and enhance efficiency, and support department leadership with special projects and other duties as needed.

 

This role would suit an experienced compliance professional with at least 5 years of law firm experience, including 2 years at a senior level. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in conflict searching, a solid understanding of conflict-of-interest concepts, and exceptional communication skills. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, coupled with a keen attention to detail, are essential for success in this position.
