Competition Professional Support Lawyer - Global Law Firm

A leading international law firm is seeking a Competition Professional Support Lawyer. The PSL will collaborate with partners and associates to enhance knowledge resources, deliver training, and monitor legal developments. This role involves supporting both internal teams and external clients, ensuring they remain informed on key regulatory and competition law changes. Responsibilities include drafting thought leadership content, addressing technical legal queries, and fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Developments: Track and analyse changes in competition, regulation, and trade law.
• Publications & Thought Leadership: Draft articles, blog posts, and briefings on legal developments.
• Client Training: Prepare and deliver training sessions and presentations on key legal topics.
• Internal Knowledge Support: Provide guidance on complex legal queries and assist with internal training.
• International Collaboration: Work with teams across various jurisdictions on cross-border legal initiatives.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role is ideal for a qualified solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE and a strong background in competition, regulation, and trade law, ideally gained in private practice. Experience in foreign direct investment and competition litigation is a plus. The ideal candidate will have excellent drafting and communication skills, the ability to simplify complex legal concepts, and the confidence to deliver training to both clients and colleagues. A proactive mindset, strong academic background, and interest in legal technology will be highly valued. Prior experience as a PSL/Knowledge Lawyer or in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
