This is a newly created, permanent role that offers the chance to make a real impact within a growing Family team. Reporting to the Head of Knowledge and working closely with partners, the KDL will be responsible for curating and maintaining high-quality knowledge resources. You will support fee earners in delivering exceptional service by leading training initiatives, managing legal knowledge, and providing expertise on complex queries. This role is central to maintaining consistency, innovation, and excellence in the team’s approach.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain a centralised precedent bank and Knowledge Hub on SharePoint, ensuring easy access to key materials and resources, particularly in areas like nuptial agreements.
  • Lead and contribute to tailored training programmes, supporting the professional growth of team members at all qualification levels.
  • Monitor developments in Family law, creating engaging knowledge materials to promote best practices and assist fee earners with technical queries, capturing insights for broader team sharing.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to produce client-focused content and support thought leadership.
  • Evaluate and recommend legal tech solutions to enhance efficiency and support the needs of the Family group.

 

This role is ideal for a Family law professional with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE who is passionate about knowledge management and training. The successful candidate will bring significant experience in Family law with a strong technical foundation and a solid understanding of how a law firm operates as a business. A proactive and collaborative approach is essential, along with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and presentation skills are required to engage and inspire colleagues effectively. Additionally, a self-motivated attitude, coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects forward, is key to thriving in this role.
