As an Associate or Senior Associate in the FinReg team, you will be responsible for managing legal content and providing expertise on cross-border distribution, crypto assets, and a new Cross-Border Lending product. You’ll collaborate with local counsel from around the world, deliver legal analysis, and ensure product content meets the high standards of their financial services clients. This role will involve both drafting legal documents and assisting in product development, as well as supporting client queries and monitoring regulatory changes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Draft, commission, and negotiate legal memoranda across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Summarise complex legal analysis into concise, accurate reports for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide training and demonstrations to potential clients and manage subscriber queries.
  • Monitor legal developments and draft alerts on key regulatory changes.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across a suite of legal documents.

 

With a salary of up to £150k (depending on experience), this role is ideal for a lawyer with at least 2 years PQE, preferably from a top-tier law firm or in-house role, with strong experience in financial services regulation, lending, or crypto/fintech. You’ll need excellent communication and drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to summarise complex information concisely. International or cross-border legal experience is preferred, and you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
