The Role
This position sits within the General Counsel’s office and supports the firm's risk and compliance agenda across its European and Asian offices. From legal research to policy development, and project support to contract review, this role offers breadth, responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives in a global legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with regulatory compliance, including maintaining SRA records and overseeing bulk practising certificate renewals.
  • Conduct research and advise on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters including data privacy, conflicts, anti-financial crime, sanctions, and professional conduct.
  • Draft, update and maintain internal risk and compliance policies and guidance materials.
  • Support audits and firm-wide projects related to ESG, modern slavery, diversity, and professional competence.
  • Review vendor contracts in line with internal standards.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training to new associates, trainees, and support staff.

Who This Would Suit
This role is open to qualified lawyers from any practice area (ideally up to 5 years' PQE) who are passionate about transitioning into or developing a long-term career in risk and compliance. A detail-oriented, proactive team player with strong communication skills will thrive here. Prior experience in compliance or regulatory matters is an advantage but not a requirement.
