An exciting opportunity has arisen at an elite US law firm for a highly skilled Senior Conflicts Analyst to join its London-based Risk & Compliance team. This role offers the chance to work at the heart of a fast-paced, international practice where your expertise in conflict analysis and new business intake will be pivotal in supporting the firm’s global operations.
Why apply?
- Outstanding compensation package – up to £95K, (depending on experience) plus benefits - salary reflective of top-tier US law firm standards.
- High-profile, international exposure – Work on multi-jurisdictional matters across UK and US regulatory frameworks within the UK based conflicts team, collaborating with US counterparts and reporting to the Director of Conflicts.
- Collaborative team culture – Work closely with senior lawyers, partners, and global colleagues in a dynamic, respected team.
Working as part of a close-knit, globally integrated team, the Senior Conflicts Analyst will handle all aspects of conflict research, analysis, and resolution, while facilitating new matter intake and ensuring adherence to the firm’s professional responsibility standards. This position offers a blend of advisory, analytical, and project-based work with regular interaction with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting in-depth research on clients, matters, and related parties using corporate databases to assess complex organisational structures.
- Reviewing and analysing conflicts search results, summarising findings, and advising partners on clearance steps.
- Drafting and preparing necessary documentation, including waivers, consents, and engagement letters.
- Supporting new business intake processes, including new matters, lateral hires, and client onboarding.
- Managing and maintaining ethical screens, internal databases, and compliance records.
- Collaborating with global teams to ensure alignment and consistency in conflicts and compliance practices.
Who this role would suit
This position is ideal for a Conflicts professional with at least 3 years relevant experience in an international law firm, particularly one that operates under both UK and US conflicts rules. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, highly analytical, and confident working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. A solid understanding of regulatory requirements around AML, sanctions, and client due diligence would be advantageous.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven, collaborative professional to take a step forward in their career—delivering conflict analysis and new business intake support at the highest level. You’ll play a key role in identifying potential issues, maintaining best practices, and ensuring compliance standards across the firm’s global operations. If you're ready for a role that combines responsibility, variety, and scope for development, this could be the perfect next move.
